The DEMA Virtual Chapter invites all fellow Private Service Professionals for networking and information.

Join us for Part 1 of our Security Series, when we discuss Situational Security with our Special Guest Speaker, James Hamilton.

James Hamilton, Vice President of Protection Strategies with Gavin DeBecker & Associates, L.P. With a long and decorated history, James served four years on FBI Director Robert Mueller’s Protective Detail, which included extensive travel to high threat environments. Next, handpicked by the FBI, Supervisory Special Agent James Hamilton created, developed and implemented the FBI Academy’s Protective Training curriculum. James is a Certified FBI Instructor in Firearms, Active Shooter, Tactical Skills, Emergency Driving and SWAT Operations.

As the Team Leader and Manager for the FBI’s Overseas Survival Awareness Program (an 80-hour course for most participants), James is the perfect person to explore possible scenarios that not only need to be considered – but planned for, when addressing Situational Security. Mr. Hamilton will discuss:

  • Situational awareness
  • Mental rehearsal of probable threat scenarios
  • Where bad things happen
  • Tools to consider
